National Life Group encourages employees to support institutions of higher education through its Employee Education Grant program. Employees and Directors of National Life Group with at least one full year of service are eligible to participate.
The Foundation will match eligible employee gifts to a qualified educational institution up to a maximum of $500 per employee per year. The gift by the employee must be a direct contribution for the benefit of an eligible institution, or to its alumni or other tax-exempt fund that uses all funds received for the benefit of that institution. Gifts must come from personal funds and may be in the form of cash or property. All Foundation matching gifts will be unrestricted.
Eligible institutions are those (1) tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) under the Internal Revenue Code to which contributions are deductible; (2) a college, university, junior college or technical school offering at least a two year program of college level studies; and (3) accredited by any nationally recognized accrediting agency.
How to apply:Employees must show proof of the eligible institution when submitting a request for funds. You can do so either through a receipt directly from the educational institution or by having the institution contact National Life directly.
