People's Health and Wellness Clinic

The People's Health and Wellness Clinic provides primary health care and wellness education to those who have no health insurance coverage, who are underinsured, or who cannot otherwise afford health care services.

While PHWC serves patients up to 300% of the federal poverty level (FPL), over 86% of the Clinic's patients are below 185% of the FPL ($19,336 gross income for an individual; $25,996 for a couple). People with Medicaid, Medicare, Catamount, or VHAP do not qualify for treatment at the Clinic, though they might be eligible for alternative care for specific conditions not covered by those programs.

The Clinic offers medical exams, primary care services, screenings, prescriptions, counseling, and referrals. In addition, the Clinic screens all patients for eligibility in a range of public health insurance, prescription assistance, and other financial assistance programs, and helps patients with the application and enrollment process.
