Founded in 1890, Lund Family Center has dedicated 120 years to providing vital family services to the state. It is Vermont's oldest and largest private adoption agency. Lund is also the state's only residential treatment program for pregnant and parenting women with children, and its approach of keeping families intact during treatment has shown positive results. The Center has facilitated more than 8,600 adoptions and served more than 30,000 people with residential treatment, high school and GED preparation, childcare, job training, and independent living programs.
Lund’s Teen Pregnancy Prevention Outreach Program is a unique and effective program that reaches adolescents throughout the State. This program was developed to meet the needs voiced by area educators and community members who were seeing an alarming increase in teen pregnancies, school dropouts, and the communities' inability to address this rising epidemic of "lost students."
