NLGCF Hosts over 100 non-profit Representatives

October 15, 2009

Representatives from over 100 non profits from around the region attended a seminar on Wednesday, Oct. 14., sponsored by the National Life Group Charitable Foundation (NLGCF). The day long event offered three workshops to help non profits with marketing, publicity and financial affairs as well as learn about the operation of the NLGCF. During lunch displays were set up by the non-profits and National Life Group employees went "shopping" to find a non-profit where they might want to volunteer. Earlier this year National Life announced a policy where employees can volunteer 40 hours, per year, during paid work time. Ruth Brown talks with Nadine Budbill, from Girls Move Mountains, about the possibility of volunteering.
