Lost Nation Theater
National Life Group's annual underwriting support of Lost Nation Theater over the past (almost) twenty years has enabled the
company to grow from a small summer theater with as seasonal budget of approximately $20,000 to a nationally recognized,
year-round, resident professional company with an annual budget of over $300,000 serving over 15,000 patrons and students.
National Life Group has played a visionary leadership role in recognizing the multiple benefits of a vibrant arts scene to a healthy "creative economy," and Lost Nation Theater is a shining example of the effectiveness of that support, presenting over 120 individual performance events per year; theater education programs for ages 2 to 92, and providing year-round management services for the City Hall Arts Center, making it a central gathering place that the proverbial New England Town Hall was always meant to be.
"National Life Group's tremendous commitment to its community is inspiring - and is the major sustaining force
of many arts and service organizations in Vermont. As a good corporate citizen, National Life Group strives to direct
its resources in ways that will effectively enrich the vitality of Vermont's communities. Important community-building
arts organizations like Lost Nation Theater are made possible by that support."
